Creative Coach.jpg

Are you an artist or creative looking for help and direction with your art practice or business? Do you find most business coaches come from a corporate background, have little empathy with an artist’s life and are frighteningly expensive? As a Creative Coach I work with artists, creatives and sole traders to help them problem solve and steer them in a more productive direction for their practice.

With a background in retail I work with clients and help them identify and (more importantly) reach the customer through undertaking market research, recognising current trends and developing a brand. My key skills include listening and problem solving.

Using social media to market my own art practice, I can demonstrate the benefits and even run workshops (see below for more info). I am also a good networker and if I can’t help personally, I can usually steer you in the direction of someone who can.

My coaching style is informal and involves a conversation. I ask where you are with your art practice and where you would like to go and through this identify stumbling blocks and work out how to progress.

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients over the years including Illustrators, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Textile Designers, Sculptors, Painters, Jewellery Designers, Model Makers and Personal Stylists to name but a few.  Until May 2019 I was also a Volunteer Business Mentor with The Prince’s Trust spending 5 years working with young people on their business start-ups.

I charge £50 for a 1.5 hour meeting and, in my experience, one meeting is usually enough. I will follow up with an email outlining points in our meeting including any additional links and contacts.

“Lots of really useful advice and information that I shall be getting on with over the next few weeks. Instagram seems to be paying dividends already now that I have got my head around it. Thanks again for the session and giving me a metaphorical kick in the right direction”

Mark, Lens-Based Artist July 2019

“I really enjoyed meeting Lisa and talking through the opportunities and options I had available to me to progress my career. Lisa has a great mind for problem-solving, and I came away from our session feeling inspired and creatively invigorated.”

Jessica, Graphic Designer May 2019

“I contacted Lisa as I knew of the valuable work she had done with another friend and that she would be able to help me move my ideas forward very practically.   At the end of the session I felt more confident about my ideas and my capabilities and very clear about my immediate and medium-term priorities.”

Marie, Personal Stylist Jan 2019

'I contacted Lisa through Bristol Creatives website when I needed some advice regarding the direction my work and creative business was going in. Lisa was instantly warming, supportive and listened to my needs, providing some great advice and specific workshops for me to attend that really helped me become unstuck!'

Annie, Illustrator June 2017

I was feeling a little lost with where i wanted to take my creative business and Lisa helped me to see things from a different perspective, which helped me to be a bit clearer with where I wanted to take things.”
